Hi, I\u2019m Rebecca, a classroom teacher, curriculum planner, and the creator of ReadyWrite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I believe writing is one of the most powerful tools for learning, especially when it is included across the curriculum. ReadyWrite is built around research-based strategies that support comprehension through purposeful writing. Every resource is designed with real classrooms in mind and reflects what I\u2019ve seen work with students across a range of abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My teaching style is structured, supportive, and centered around clarity. I believe students need the right tools and supports to think deeply and express their ideas confidently without becoming overwhelmed. Whether I\u2019m teaching reading and writing or integrating writing into social studies and science, I focus on strategies that make student thinking visible, manageable, and meaningful.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I hold a bachelor\u2019s degree in Elementary Education from Florida State University and a master\u2019s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. I have taught in both general and special education and currently work in dyslexia intervention and special education. I am certified in Texas in Core Subjects EC\u20138, Special Education EC\u201312, ESL, and the Science of Teaching Reading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before becoming a teacher, I served as a Navy journalist and public affairs specialist, where I learned the importance of clear, purposeful communication. That experience continues to shape the way I approach writing instruction today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ReadyWrite\u2019s goal is simple: create practical resources that help students think, write, and show what they know.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
